ABOUT TAXATION

This is the song (in seven verses) that closes the musical comedy ‘Robin Hood Strikes Back’ – everyone gets to sing it at the end of the show if they’ve got a programme and the words have hopefully been printed in it. There is another version midway through the show sung by the sheriff and his soldiers, who are collecting the King’s tax from the grateful people of Nottingham. Of course Robin Hood’s band doesn’t pay tax – they’re in the woods and hard to find.

That’s just part of what you can expect when the musical comedy comes out.

But meanwhile, you can download all of the radio version in MP3 format at the Downloads section. You can then play it on your computer, or even burn it to disc via Windows Media Player (later versions) and it will probably play on a later model stereo that reads MP3 discs.

The lyrics are also downloadable……. probably in about ten seconds.

Update October 2007

The new versions of game of union and waltzing the football are on download and also the full new – and very expensive – version of taxation.

But wait – there's more! The new song that truly captures the spirit of the game – rugby it makes me the man I am – is there as well.

Of course, they will all sound better on CD, when that becomes available
